Hey everyone. This page stays pretty mellowโฆ but I wanted to remind you Iโm still here. ๐ซ ๐๐ซ
Facebook restricts a lot of things I might want to say, so Iโll speak in code sometimes. After being a bedside nurse for so many years, I prefer this kind of code to the other. ๐

For now, Iโm just introducing myself for some of the newbies. Iโm Joannaโฆ your favorite chocolatierโฆ because I put the fun into your dessert. Quite literally. ๐๐ซ๐บ
I left the bedside after realizing the life had been sucked from my soul. Not just from the long shifts and the corporate structure, but because as a nurse, it was always my role to help people navigate their choices. And somehow, cannabis just never got the respect it deserved as an option in western medicine. Over time, I found myself advocating for a plant that I didnโt even have a relationship with. So I had to eventually ask myself if bedside nursing would ever fulfill me the way it had when I bought my first stethoscope. ๐ฉบ๐ฉโโ๏ธ๐ฉบ
Leaving the bedside to advocate for unconventional plant medicines has brought some of my life back. I love to challenge the status quo, to make people think, to encourage people to question what theyโve always thought to be true. Itโs fun to expand my awareness, and itโs an even bigger pleasure to watch someone else expand their own awareness. ๐ง๐โโ๏ธ๐ง
As I pay attention to plant medicines, I cannot help but stand in awe of what psychedelic medicines hold in infinite potential. I watch. I listen. And I'm in awe. Truly. Passionate. Awe. ๐๐ป๐ซข๐๐ป
Iโll be at MAINE FUNGI FEST again this year, learning what others have to share, sharing what we know, excited to watch the potential unfold before our eyes. So please consider saving the date, coming by to say hi, or even messaging me to grab a cup of coffee or strike up a conversation before the big weekend.
Stay tuned.
