Cedar Brook Farms CBF is a small regenerative farm located in Montgomery County, PA. We focus on rotationally grazed, pastured chicken, turkeys, egg laying hens, and hay.

Just stopped Daisy from killing a groundhog. I thought she was out in the field playing with a rabbit; nope, she was hunting a groundhog. Here's part of the video I took; I cut it off before I started screaming at her and stopping her from mauling it. After the fact I realized I ran through a patch of poison ivy🤦‍♀️

Did you know that chickens will alert when they sense danger?
I heard the chicken alerting this morning and looked out the window to see a hawk sitting on the ground next to the run. He was eyeing up his breakfast.
I gave the "Hawk!" command to the dogs and they covered the property to chase the bird away. This is what the chicken sounds like when they are alerting!

We have an injured chicken on the farm! Her comb was pecked and she was bloody when she came out of the coop. The other chickens were pecking at her, so I pulled her out and put her in the medical tent🩺 Follow along as I get her all set up!
