We’ve been making good progress on getting the 2026 crop planted despite quite a few weather delays. We are approximately 80% complete with corn and 70% complete with soybeans. If the weather cooperates, we should be able to have everything in the ground by the end of the week!

We have making a push to get as much of the crop in the ground in between rain showers. We are currently behind average on crop planted at this time compared to years past, and are expected to receive more rain on Monday.

This field of soybeans is being planted into a cereal rye cover crop that was seeded last fall. The warm spring has resulted in a tall rye and a great seedbed for our soybean crop!

We completed harvest late last week, but there is still plenty to do around the farm! Bryan started applying anhydrous over the weekend for next year’s corn crop, while Blake has been seeding cover crops that will grow into next spring until the soybeans are planted.

We have had a productive first week of harvest prior to a rainy Saturday. Yields have been good so far, but we expect some variability due to the late summer weather.

Seasonal/Part-Time Harvest Truck Driver(s) Wanted

As harvest is quickly approaching, we're looking for some dependable part-time drivers for the upcoming season!

Location: Raritan and Monmouth, IL
Duration: Mid-September through Mid-November weather dependent. The right candidate will be given opportunities for work throughout the winter and into the spring planting season.
Pay: Based on experience and availability.

What You'll Do:

Haul grain from field to bin or elevator
Work flexible hours based on weather and harvest needs
Assist with other various farm tasks as needed

Must have a valid class A CDL or willing to obtain one.
