160+ year old educational family farm in Scituate, MA: A forever home to many endangered Farm breeds We do not receive any grants or public funding.

Dalby Farm is a family owned and operated educational rare breeds farm. All programs are funded by the revenues generated from donations and patronage - and help with the cost of the care and upkeep of the rare farm animals living at the Farm. These animals are considered 'ambassadors' of their breed and are a critical part of the programs offered.

All visits by appointment only unless otherwise stated. The farm is our family residence and we may not have someone available to take you through the property :)

A note on parking:
Parking is currently limited to the driveway or along the street. For scheduled appointments/birthday parties we suggest using our driveway as to avoid congestion along the street.

We 💛 Autumn! Here are some pics from the farm lately. Quick reminder to Tuesday Toddlers to come with boots tomorrow, as the rain has left puddles around!

🎃Sheldon’s Hidden Pumpkin Hunt!🎃
Saturday October 17th & Sunday October 18th!
Can you find them ALL?!
Join Sheldon, along with the other farm animals, for a fun-filled pumpkin adventure! Grab a drink and a seasonal sweet from the Harvest Bar, visit with the animals (some of the chickens are known for dressing up! ) and begin searching for the various hidden decorated pumpkins throughout the farm!

After your pumpkin adventure, swing by the Country Store to use your $10.00 credit. The pantry and seasonal gift items are sure to awaken the feeling of fall in you! Don’t leave until you have put in an estimate for the number of candy corn/pumpkin corn in the mason jar….The closest estimate wins the entire jar of candy! The winner will be announced at the end of the day on Sunday October 18th.
Your participation and all purchases, help us fund the farm animal family as we prepare and stock up for the winter months ahead!

Little ones can create a pumpkin themed craft while you spend your store credit!

Did you know Peacocks 🦚 molt those beautiful feathers (known as a train) once a year, usually starting in October? In most cases it only takes a few weeks for a male to drop their entire train!
Not to worry, the feathers start to regrow right away. Usually in 6 months the train will once again be long, lush and quite colorful for Spring!

Those who have come to Dalby in recent years will likely remember the large number of free range chickens hanging around (if not actively following you 🤪).
Well, as a result of their freedom some of our happy hens find alternative egg-laying locations… Forever keeping us on our toes with eyes peeled for new random 🥚 discoveries, like this one!

We know there is still some Summer fun on the farm to be had, but as the season winds down it’s safe to say our hearts are full 💛 Thanks to all who were part of Dalby Summer 2026!

☀️Two Friday 10am toddler enrichment hours remain, drop in!! There are a couple wander & stroll posted too! We have a limited number of small group visits sprinkled over the last couple weeks of August as well.
