Getting out on the opener and already limit out? Not find a dang thing? Did that expensive pointer not work out? Or was it the best money you ever spent and you're ready to celebrate?

Whatever the highs or lows, Pleasant Prairie is the post-hunt landing zone. We open at 4 most days, making it a perfect end to that afternoon hunt. The Food Rush is available to feed you and with the heat expected in the early days of the season, we have A/C to keep you cool.

So make sure you swing in to the Taproom for local beer and to share your insights on where the birds are this year. We look forward to welcoming locals and non-locals alike as hunting season fires up in Northeast Montana!

Well, Havre, that was fun (and wet)!

We spent Saturday in your beautiful Pepin Park, serving alongside fellow brewers and volunteers in support of Havre Trails Annual Summerfest. The Hi-line is our stomping ground, so we always love coming to Havre. Plus, fully half of you we spoke with seem to have some connection to Scobey, proving yet again that Montana is one small town with very long streets.

The only bit we weren't planning on was that downpour for the last hour and a half! We had a hearty crew pile in under our canopy, and saw plenty of others under eaves, trees, and the other brewers' tents. It didn't stop everyone from having fun, and we appreciate all the brave souls that weathered the storm with us. :)

Thank you to Havre Trails for putting on a wonderful event and for allowing us to join in on the fun. It was a blast getting to hang with all the attendees and our friends at Triple Dog Brewing Co., Gally's Brewing, and Busted Knuckle Brewing.

We're already looking forward to next year!

If you have a connection to Daniels County, Montana, you know the Leader.

Not A leader. THE Leader. The Daniels County Leader. “The Little Newspaper doing a Big Job,” as the banner reads across the top.

And you probably also know that in July 2026, after 104 years, the Leader closed its doors for good.

The weekly issues of that paper didn't only give us the community news. It was and is our shared history, our shared experience.

Each of us has our own stories and memories of the Leader, and all the ways, big and small, that the crew impacted our lives. As a community, we can’t let the Leader go quietly into the night, not without trying to find some small way to show our appreciation for all of their years of service to the people of Daniels County.

Saturday, September 12, from 4-9 p.m., the Taproom will be hosting a Leader Farewell/Appreciation Event for Burl, Roz, Mike, and Vera Lynn. We will have live music by Lily and Talmadge, snacks provided by the Food Rush, and as always, we’ll bring the drinks. All you have to do is show up to show your support.

We will have a station for people to leave their favorite memories of the Leader and hope you’ll join us. The Leader has given so much to this community; let’s show them just how much we appreciate that “little paper” doing its job so well, for so long.

There might be a few tears in our mimosas today.

It's Shalice's last shift with us, and we're at a loss as to how say goodbye. Of course we know we'll still see her around. But it's hard to put into words just how much she means to us. Shalice was with us from almost the very beginning, bringing her kindness, laughter, and positive energy to everyone around her. If you've spent any time around Shalice, you know what we mean.

We could always count on her during busy events, to handle the rushes with grace and a smile, and would go above and beyond to make sure people felt welcome. She's a core reason that Pleasant Prairie is what it is today, and it won't be the same without her.

We will be gathering from 3-5 to show our appreciation but come by anytime today to get one last mimosa from one of the best people. We've been honored to work with her and will miss her greatly. We love you Shalice!

Have you been feeling like it's time to try something new? How about working in a brewery?

We're looking for a couple special people to work with us behind the bar. Don't worry, we can teach you everything you need to know to "talk beer" with people. (Yes, even if you don't drink it!) We offer a supportive, lively, and friendly environment to work in, PLUS:

1. Competitive pay;
2. Earlier closing times than traditional bars (You can be home by 10 most shifts); and
3. Opportunities to help with catering gigs off-site.
