You know
the saying, it’s not how you start, but how you finish. In the case of coffee, both are important. Conventional roasting uses large gas powered drum roasters that heat the beans, many times burning them, and creating carcinogenic byproducts. With Warren Street Roasting, we use a fluid bed roaster that is electric and pushes hot air through the beans similar to how popcorn is popped. With this method there are no dangerous additives like those found in natural gas, the beans are roasted evenly and not burnt leaving you with a less acidic more flavorful bean, and the exterior of the bean (the husk or chaff) is blown away as the air circulates and roasts the beans. With this approach we are able to guarantee our customers that from green bean to roasted bean, our product keeps your health as a top priority. Oh, and by the way the coffee will be some of the best you have ever tasted.
