Lots of cherry grape sized tomatoes

Cucumbers, $3/ # slicing/salad varieties

Beets are clearance at $3/ # and whatever is left will get pulled by tomorrow evening as well as the green beans.

It’s been a while since I explained a part of our sign. So here today after much putting it off in hopes parts of the garden would resurrect themselves, is another aspect of our sign…

SEASONAL PRODUCE

Going into this summer I knew would have less to offer than the previous two summers due to dealing with the new baby and the drought. I did not anticipate however that the pumpkins and hard shell squash would be completely obliterated and that the chickens would decide that anything else that grew in one particular garden was theirs other than a few select watermelon. No chickens have ever bothered anything planted in that plot before other than maybe a couple pecks here and there. However this year I have absolutely no yellow summer squash or zucchini despite drowning in them last summer thanks to my greedy little clukcers.

I planted lots of cucumber plants, and I do have better selection than last summer, but I am horrible at getting up early to get them picked before one or both girls get up. And you know how it is with cucumbers how they’re not there or the size of your pinky one day and all of a sudden the size of your arm the next day.

However, if you are still with us at this point, and YOU have extra produce you would like to sell at our stand, you are welcome to do so. We would keep 20% of the sale of each item and you get the rest. We do not have electricity, but we do have a large upright freezer we use like a large cooler and that keeps at a reasonable temperature to keep produce fresher longer than it would work just sitting out.

Splash Americana Rooster, 💲5️⃣

Has never shown any sort of indication of aggression towards children or adults. Is at the bottom of the totem pole of the six roosters and has gotten booted outside by them. Would do better with a flock of his own or as dinner.
