A huge thanks for all of your patience with us (me) last week. I LOVE the SEMO District Fair!!

The kids did well with all their projects. Drew won Best of Show with one of his welding projects. He also had wood working, agronomy, pigs and foods. He received blues on all those. Kinsey had foods and pigs. She got blues on all of her foods and did well with her pigs. Ty had wood working, foods and pigs. He received the only red ribbon and we are still laughing about it. All in all the kids had a great week.

Let's have a little chat about respect and proper behavior that in my opinion we should never have to have.

We are not perfect. We do not run a perfect business. We feel the same struggles in life and the economy each of you are feeling.

That being said, absolutely nobody has the right to walk in our shop doors and be disrespectful to any of our employees. If you have an issue with how we manage our business, please ask for the owner. You are absolutely allowed your opinion and I will listen to it. I will however give mine back. If you have never owned a business you may not know all the details behind why decisions are made. We may not be the right fit for you as a customer and that is perfectly ok. We are however a small family business, the true definition of a Mom and Pop Shop. We make decisions much differently than big box stores do for very obvious reasons and also reasons that until you have sat at this desk and had to make you may not understand.

All that being said just be nice. Rude is just ugly and there is no reason for that attitude anywhere to anyone.

Reminder that we are closed tomorrow, Wednesday September 16 to watch the kids show the 4-H market pigs.

This picture is why we do it. The care the kids provide for these animals amazes me. Its not just a project, not just a day off school (although thats a huge perk), its a life lesson, a calm you cannot explain if youve never raised an animal. Theres some amazing mental calmness that comes from quiet moments like these. Drew had a tough day and his pig needed some TLC. They both got what they needed.

Please take the time to walk through the livestock and talk to these youth. They will amaze you!!

Saturday. September 12 starts the SEMO District Fair so that changes our hours just a little. We will be closed Wednesday, September 16 all day. Come to the fair and watch the 4H and FFA Market Pig Show if you want to see us. Hours for Thursday, September 17 - 8:00am - 3:00pm. We will be supporting all the 4H and FFA Livestock exhibitors at the 4H & FFA Livestock Sale.
