Applewood Farm & Market - The Nogan's Our family farm in Scott Township specializes in raising delicious, marbled Black Angus Beef & Pork. We are USDA Inspected, BQA Certified & PA Preferred.

Retail meat cuts, a variety of local goods and handcrafted gifts are available at our Farm Market on 53 Jermyn Farm Road Applewood Farm is a family owned Black Angus Cow/calf farm & feedlot located in beautiful Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, just 20 minutes north of the greater Scranton area. Founded by Jeff and Ann Nogan, the farm was purchased in 1984 and sons Ben and Dave are also involved in

the operation. Along with our Black Angus, we also sell pork, as well as heifers and steers. There have been numerous champion steers and many division champs at the local Wayne County Fair purchased from the farm.

Yesterday our family was deeply honored to welcome Secretary Brooke Rollins with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. for a tour of our family's Farm Market as well as host a round table discussion at our Farm with some of our area's producers regarding disaster relief and important actions to lower input costs, strengthen the farm economy, and protect the future of family farms.

Following the discussion, Secretary Rollins announced disaster assistance for PA Producers impacted by the spring freezes with a signed disaster designation for 17 counties following crop damage from below-freezing temps on April 19–21, 2026 and concluded with a press conference.

Our family is appreciative to everyone who participated in this event as well as grateful to Secretary Rollins and Congressman Bresnahan for taking valuable time to listen to American Farmers from NEPA. 🌽🌾🥩🥛🇺🇸

Please note our upcoming Holiday Hours:

The Market will be open as normal today May 22 and tomorrow May 23.

We will be CLOSED this Sunday through Wednesday as part of our Holiday Break. 🇺🇸

It was another awesome Open House Weekend, thanks to y'all! It may have been cool and breezy, but we had the warmth of good company as well as sampling some long standing favorites! 😋

Our family enjoyed getting to meet new faces as well as seeing familiar ones! From our delicious samples, to the Touch a Truck, and beautiful merchandise our vendors had on display, it was a blast!

We also wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who collaborated with us and made our event a sizzling success! ❤️
