Happy Memorial Day from Highfill Farms! We took care of the calves and cows this morning and then got to get out and enjoy some time together having lunch on the water in Hot Springs! Well not what I was hoping for, but when I took Bunny’s splint off today you could tell she was not ready for it to be taken off. We redid the splint and I gotta say she looks cute in pink 🩷 we are hoping the break heals soon and she stays happy and healthy!

Well y’all it’s been a hard 2 weeks of trying to get a surrogate cow to accept twin number 2, and then trying to get a heifer who rejected her calf to bond with her and let her nurse…so let me introduce our two new bottle babies…Buc-ee and Bunny 😂 they didn’t know what to think of this whole bottle situation…so they learned how to take a bottle while doing what we call the Brahman flop…they are known for being very dramatic…we can’t blame Bunny for laying down since she has a broken leg…but her brother Buc-ee is definitely over dramatic!

Well we are making progress with twin number 2 and red tag 32! She now will tolerate him nursing while she gets to eat her grain!

We went out of town for 24 hours to help my brother move and had 2 mommas decide to have their babies! Big thanks to Ben for coming and making sure twin number 2 got to nurse and checking on things!
