Summer Teen Immersive Camp
Feathered Lion Learning Center
June 15–18 | 10:00am–3:00pm
Rooted in the philosophy of Ecology of Freedom-Based Learning®, Feathered Lion Learning Center offers a land-based learning experience where education grows through relationship, curiosity, meaningful work, and connection to the living world. Rather than separating academics, life skills, emotional development, and creativity, our approach weaves them together through direct experience, mentorship, and village-centered learning.
This immersive invites teens into a rich week of hands-on exploration through archery, herbology, regenerative farming, animal husbandry, expressive arts, folk skills, storytelling, and guided reflection on the emotional terrain of the inner world. Participants are encouraged to build confidence, resilience, creativity, self-awareness, and practical life skills while deepening their relationship with self, community, and the earth.
Grounded on the land at Leo’s Rising Collective, teens experience learning through rhythm, responsibility, movement, creativity, and shared village experiences. From caring for animals and harvesting from the garden to creating art, exploring nature, and engaging in meaningful conversations, each day supports both outer skill-building and inner development.
Our work is inspired by place-based learning, Waldorf education, village wisdom, somatic awareness, and the understanding that true learning emerges through relationship and lived experience.
