Shearing 2026 is in the books! Thank the Gods!
A super big shout-out to all our helpers today, and there were many! We are always so grateful for the willingness to come and help, get dirty, get smelly, get fiber all over you. A huge thank you to Steve Bell for his expert shearing and care of our animals. And of course I can't miss out mentioning Craig and Emma, they made prep and the day much easier.

Preparing for shearing in May 22nd Check list:

Clear the shop for all the action
Organize area for fleeces
Check to make sure we have required medical supplies
Set up stalls and canopy
Set up scale run
Clean out fiber cleaning tools
Make sure vacuums have new filters
Charge batteries for blower
Make bag tags and sample bags
Update and print out fleece log
Update and print out shearing log
Organize lunch and drinks for helpers

Did I forget anything 🤔?
