Sisco “sis” is a 16 yr old grade quarter horse mare about 16hh and 1200 pounds. We’ve used her as an all around horse doing team roping as a head horse, done a little breakaway, doctored calves, started on barrels and poles (I started her on it about a month ago and she picked it up quickly I think with more practice she’d be pretty good), sorted cows, and great trail horse. Shes good in the box and goes right to position. She’s ponied other horses and can be ponied no problem. She trailers, ties, bathes, good to saddle and bridle, you can ride her ba****ck, stands well for farrier, not marerish, very good keeper gets fat on air and good with other horses. Shes also fine with dogs, cars, 4 wheelers etc. she’s a very calm quiet horse, isn’t spooky. she gets excited when working at speed but doesn’t get hot or crazy. Shes current on vaccines and deworming. She’s easy to ride, very smart but is NOT a kids or beginners horse she needs a soft and consistent hand. She’s very fast and powerful. I think she’d make a great all around rodeo, ohset or ranch horse with some more finishing. Could easily be ready for some jackpots soon and I think she would love some breakaway/daubing and sorting practices.
She’s not an in your pocket kind of horse but she’s very sweet and easy to get along with. This horse loves to have a job and will go all day. but she can also sit for weeks and go straight to work. This is such a cool horse she’s incredibly smart and a joy to ride, I wasn’t planning on selling her but have some unexpected vet bills that need to be paid.
Prior to the last couple months she sat for a few years so still needs some refreshing in regards to her head set, leg yields, etc so I don’t call her finished but she is coming back to it quickly and is willing and honest.
