Back home from a great weekend in Wise, Virginia at the Chillin' and Grillin' In The Glades KCBS BBQ Competition! We’ve competed here several times in the past with SCA, but always wanted to come back and give the BBQ a try! Greg Monica Cross puts on an outstanding event! Can’t wait to come back next year. Now the results. This was our first Pro/Master series event. And this is how we finished :
Chicken: 33rd
Ribs: 30th
Pork: 12th
Brisket: 10th 🏆
Overall: 22nd

Our competition season is about to pick back up! We’ve had a busy first half of the year with other things going on, on top of about 5 events we signed up for and they decided to cancel. Next up is Wise, Virginia! We have cooked steak here in the past but always wanted to come back for the KCBS bbq competition! Looking forward to hitting the trail soon! But in the meantime, we gotta get the smokers cleaned up and ready to go!! 🔥

Back home from our first BBQ competition of 2026! And boy was it a big one! Biggest one we’ve cooked! This was our 1st year at Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship, and definitely won’t be the last! Weather was fantastic, and an excellent ran event! At the end of the weekend, although we didn’t get finishes we had hoped for, I’m definitely not mad at how we ended up considering we haven’t cooked in 5 months and this was the largest team count we’ve competed against. Some of the best teams in the nation! So here’s how we stacked against 55 teams this past weekend:
