🐐👑 WHEN THE KINGDOM GETS A NEW BOSS! 🐾😂

Rambo has always thought he was KING of the farm. Head of security. Supervisor of all farm operations. The boss of everybody at Sadona Farms. 👑🐕

And then along came Lulu. 🤎🐐

This tiny little goaty-wotty has apparently decided that Rambo’s management style is outdated, his authority is questionable, and there’s a NEW sheriff in town! 🤣

Rambo is still trying to figure out how someone who weighs about as much as one of his paws has managed to challenge his position as farm royalty. 😂

Poor Rambo. He went from top dog to middle management in ONE DAY! 🤣🤣

🌼 Think this is a lot of daffodil bulbs? Think again! 🌼

We’ve got over 4,000 — almost 5,000 — daffodil bulbs ready to go in the ground for our spring Daffodil U-Pick at Sadona Farms! 💛🌼 And guess what? We haven’t even received our tulip bulbs yet! 🌷 Those are arriving within the next two weeks, and we are SO excited!

But first, we’ve got a whole lot of planting to do! We need to get these daffodils in the ground before the tulips arrive, because we’re quickly running out of room in the garage! 😂📦🌷

While everyone else is enjoying fall colors, pumpkins, and all things pumpkin spice, we’re already dreaming of spring sunshine, fields of beautiful daffodils, and rows upon rows of gorgeous tulips! 🌼🌷☀️

Fall is for planting, but spring is when the magic happens! 💛 We can’t wait to share it all with you at Sadona Farms!

🌿 Pawpaw Season 2026 — The Indiana Banana! 🍌

Pawpaw season is here at Sadona Farms, but 2026 is definitely not a boom season for us. We do have a few boxes of pawpaws on the farm stand today, but we’re not expecting to have many more.

We’re not sure if the late frost and freeze we had at the beginning of May are the reason for the smaller crop, but we definitely don’t have nearly as many pawpaws this year as we did last year.

💚 So, if you’re a pawpaw lover, this is your sign to come grab some this weekend! They’re boxed up and on the stand today. I’ll make an announcement when the pawpaws are gone.

And on the bright side, we have some other goodies on the stand! 😊

One of our Rural Roots Road Tour participants, Willow Creek Acres Farm, is getting ready to be featured LIVE on WISH-TV’s Daybreak this Saturday! 🎉

Their pepper sauce journey actually started with the Rural Roots Road Tour, and it has grown into a pepper farm, their delicious Passager sauces, and a commercial kitchen right here in Scott County! ❤️

This is exactly why we started Rural Roots — to help shine a light on the amazing things happening right here in our community. 🌱

Hey everyone, guess what is up next!

I will be traveling to Indianapolis to be live on TV this Saturday 🙌 I’m excited and nervous equally!

I will be talking about my business Willow Creek Acres and how we’ve grown from being a part of Rural Roots Road Tour with the market cart to the transition to the pepper farm and creation of our Passager pepper sauces and build of our commercial kitchen on the farm.

Seed to bottle, limited ingredients, no allergens or preservatives in our shelf stable pepper sauces. We make each pepper flavor shine, that’s our goal!

WISH-TV features local Hoosier businesses, farmers, and makers every Saturday on its "Daybreak" morning broadcast in partnership with Indiana Grown

Live at 6:40am and 7:40am with a recording available later on the app or website which I will share link next week.

The weekly segment shines a light on diverse regional agricultural producers, artisans, and family-owned enterprises across the state—ranging from specialty farms and florists to bakeries and natural skincare makers.

This is a wonderful opportunity to help us grow! We are able to ship within Indiana and getting our E-Commerce site available for you by mid to end September!

🍓 WE’RE JAMMING AGAIN! 🍓🎶

After a VERY busy summer of harvesting beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and all the other goodies coming out of the garden, I finally had a chance to slow down and get back to making one of my favorite things… JAM! ❤️

The jam kitchen is officially back in business! 🫙✨

Out on the stand today:

And I’m just getting started! I’ll be making more varieties throughout the week to restock the stand and to bring along to the farmers market this Saturday. 🌿🧺
