Please help save Moody's Grocery Funds are being raised to save and restore Little York’s historic 1918 Masonic lodge, which was the home of Moody’s Grocery for many years.

The building also is a piece of Indiana rock history: Hollywood came to Little York in 1983 when scenes for Seymour native John “Cougar” Mellencamp’s “Pink Houses” music video were filmed there, featuring Moody’s Grocery. After proprietor Ralph Moody died, the nearby Little York Store sold groceries and yummy sandwiches until it burned in 2017. Now, Ralph’s younger cousin Gary Moody is restoring t

he building, which has long been vacant and suffered water damage from a leaky roof. The plan is to bring a grocery store back to “The State of Gibson” (as locals refer to the township), with a cafe and community space. The fundraising goal is $5,000 to kickstart the project.
