Help needed! 🚨
Tessa is at the vet dehydrated with distended small intestine but still motile. These rising temps put so much stress on their systems and we need your help to get her through this.

Guys, she is the hardest horse we have to give vet care to. She gives every vet a run for their money. Trauma from her past before the . She is one of our most highly used horses and has been with us since Memorial Day 2018. This ia the first time she’s ever needed significant vet care { thank goodness for so many reasons } and the visiting vet here at is maybe one of the best vets I’ve ever seen. He was wildly patient with her and got an IV in with such grace and patience. She’s here overnight at least until we get her more comfortable and back eating.

It takes so much to get our rescues trained and keep them healthy. She’s still young for our herd and we’re praying that with your help we can get her through this and back in the arena moving and working with our groups of children that need her love and lessons.

We need to raise $4000 to keep her here for the recommended time. Please pray for Tessa 🙏

This past weekend we had the pleasure of stepping into the arena with seven First Responders and their spouses for a full-day retreat. Our time together was precious, weaving in opportunity for presence and connection, while releasing what no longer serves. Their day began around the farm, observing their partner without expectation, witnessing how they experienced their surroundings. They took an in-depth look at the nervous system, understanding how stress and trauma activate the system into flight, fight, freeze, and fawn, and the relationship between the thoughts and feelings that follow. Then they stepped into the arena for experiential learning with the herd, digging deep into communication, presence, pressure, and release. The retreat ended with salty kisses on cheeks as warm tears rolled down, cooled by the time they spilled over the chin, deeply holding space for what it means to choose their partner and their relationship over and over and over again. 🫶🏼
