Summer updates at Aridus. We are shaking things up for the season with brand new hours across both tasting rooms. We’re staying open on Mondays in Scottsdale! Here is the new lineup:

Scottsdale Tasting Room
Sunday - Wednesday: 12 PM – 6 PM
Thursday & Saturday: 12 PM – 8 PM
Friday: 12 PM – 11 PM (Extended After Hours!)

Willcox Tasting Room
Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 12 PM – 6 PM
Monday through Thursday: Closed

With our extended Friday After Hours and Saturdays, we are moving to custom curated music playlists this season. Please note we will not have live music scheduled this summer, just great wine, incredible conversations, and enjoying the AC!

Bottling day just got a major upgrade!

Check out our new inline case coder in action. Instead of manually peeling and sticking labels, this machine prints our custom designs, box numbers, and live box counts directly onto the cardboard right after they're taped.

Not only is it saving us serious time, but it also frees up our team to focus heavily on what matters most: quality control at every other step of the bottling line. Innovation for the win!

Wine Tip Wednesday: Not all wines are equally easy to make.
From thin-skinned grapes like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that are more vulnerable in the vineyard, to crafting a wine style that matches a winemaker’s vision, every vintage comes with its own challenges. In the end, Mother Nature has the final say, and great winemaking is about listening to what the grapes have to tell us.

The device Ell, our Assistant winemaker is using is called a Nutriscope. It is made by a French Company called Senseen. They have come up with a way to use different wavelengths of light to measure the nutrients of a plant. It is super-new ground breaking technology that we are putting to use in the vineyard. We are able to get a stress index for the vineyard and chart it over time. This will help us identify some of the problem spots and let us do quick nutrient adjustments. The older method (Jef our winemaker) was using to get this info took about a month between sampling, drying the samples, sending it to a lab, and waiting for results. We can now get realtime results and do all this without damaging the leaves and is completely non-invasive. It is a great new tool for us!!
