Ronald Prechel, ein sehr erfahrener Pferdetrainer aus Deutschland, kam auf die Miller Ranch in Arizona – mit vielen Jahren Erfahrung im klassischen Anreiten und der Ausbildung junger Warmblüter für Dressur und Springen.
Doch hier wartete etwas völlig anderes auf ihn.
Zum ersten Mal begegnete er einem Missouri Fox Trotter
und dem „First Step“ sowie dem Leadership-System – einer Trainingsphilosophie, die nicht auf Druck, sondern auf Vertrauen, Ruhe und echte Führung setzt.
Auf der Miller Ranch spielt die Rasse keine Rolle –
hier werden alle Pferde nach denselben Prinzipien ausgebildet… einschließlich Mustangs.
Zuerst beobachtete Ronald.
Ruhig. Analytisch.
Doch dann kam dieser Moment –
die Neugier gewann.
Er setzte sich selbst in den Sattel
und erlebte den „First Step“ aus erster Hand.
Nur einen Tag später war er bereits Teil des Trainings
und arbeitete aktiv im Leadership-System –
mit McLaren’s Don Rodrigo M.R.,
den er nur drei Tage zuvor in 3,5 Stunden selbst angeritten hatte.
Wie geht es weiter?
👉 Dieses erst 2-jährige Pferd geht jetzt für ein ganzes Jahr zurück in die Herde.
Zeit zu wachsen. Zeit, sich körperlich und mental zu entwickeln.
Denn echte Ausbildung braucht Zeit –
und Respekt vor der Entwicklung des Pferdes.

Ronald Prechel, a highly experienced horse trainer from Germany, visited Miller Ranch in Arizona. With years of expertise in starting and training young warmblood horses for dressage and jumping, he represents the classical European approach.
But here, he encountered something completely different.
For the first time, he worked with a Missouri Fox Trotter
and experienced the “First Step” and Leadership system—
a training philosophy based not on pressure, but on trust, calmness, and true leadership.
At Miller Ranch, the breed doesn’t matter—
all horses are trained under the same principles… even Mustangs.
At first, Ronald observed.
Calm. Analytical.
But then came that moment—
curiosity took over.
He stepped into the saddle
and experienced the “First Step” himself.
Just one day later, he was already part of the training,
actively working within the Leadership system—

a horse he had personally started just three days earlier in about 3.5 hours.

The first foal of the year at Miller Ranch has arrived.
This filly is by our stallion Arizona Outlaw´s McLaren M.R. and out of Legend Outlaw´s Chilly Pepper M.R., combining two proven bloodlines known for quality, temperament, and athletic ability. Her name is Legend Outlaw´s Chilly Pepper M.R.
At just five days old, she already demonstrates natural balance, strong conformation, and an alert, confident attitude. Her movement shows elasticity and coordination beyond her age.
With the genetic foundation of Arizona Outlaw´s McLaren M.R and Legend Outlaw´s Chilly Pepper M.R, expectations are naturally high. Both parents consistently pass on type, rhythm, and mental strength.
While it is still early, the first impressions are highly promising. We look forward to following her development as she matures into what we believe will be an exceptional representative of her lineage.

Arizona’s Outlaw M.R., one of the most remarkable Missouri Fox Trotter stallions of his time, began his final journey across the Rainbow on December 1st. He lived 23 extraordinary years and left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
A born Foxtrotter with exceptional talent, Arizona was a champion in both gaited performance and Western disciplines. His courage, natural rhythm, and willingness made him stand out in every competition.
But his true legacy lived on the trail.

Oh Yeah – A True Champion Reborn on the Miller Ranch
Oh Yeah has had a remarkable career:
World Grand Champion 2017, World Grand Champion 2018, unforgettable rides like “A Hell of a Ride” with Vance Vahle, and again World Grand Champion in the Senior 5+ class.
The 2025 Championship in Ava did not go as expected. So Oh Yeah came to the Miller Ranch in October for correction work. After just a short time of pure Freestyle Leadership training, he was like a different horse—relaxed, expressive, and completely at ease. A true dream horse.
A warm thank-you to Ramona Wessel for her trust.
It was a privilege for us to work with a horse of this caliber—
