Butchering is a lot of hard work on a very fast timeline. At our house it's always closed out with a hearty breakfast giving thanks to our livestock and all the helping hands that make this happen. This year's breakfast was buckwheat pancakes topped with Kehoe's Pure Maple Syrup (partially sourced from Bartholomew Farm in PA) with LMF eggs, sausage and scrapple.

Lots of work going on at Lofty Mountain Farm this past week! Aaron is teaching our children to appreciate our livestock and also how to be self sustainable. They butchered our 477 lb. hog last weekend and Aaron has been working hard to provide for our family and community. If anyone is interested in scrapple (if you don't already know, the best scrapple is made over a fire in a cast iron kettle đŸ˜‹) or sausage, let us know. It's going quick!
Pepper Sausage - $30/5 lb. bag
Regular Breakfast Sausage - $30/5 lb. bag
Scrapple - $40/pan
