As we begin 2020 hay season, let’s talk about the benefits of hay wrapping, especially in the wet conditions we’re seeing right now. Wrapping helps seal the moisture in by keeping the oxygen out, thereby allowing the hay to ferment and preventing mold and mildew from developing as opposed to just sitting outside. This helps preserve overall hay quality. We can wrap bales with up to 60% moisture. Wrapping also allows bales to be stored outside thru the year freeing up space in the shed.
