He also installs livestock drinkers, water lines, and can even assist with your run-in shed and catch pen layout needs!! **Help Callicutt Stables Rebuild**
N.C. Cooperative Extension- Randolph County Center has teamed up with the NC Equestrian Exchange Tack Consignment Sale to have a donation drop-off site for Callicutt Stables. The sale is being held March 26-29, 2026 at the Randolph County Agricultural Center, 1800 US Hwy 64 E, Asheboro, NC 27203.

Donors are encouraged to shop the consignment sale and donate to this cause. Donors may also bring donations to this drop-off site. Please look for a large bin labeled for this cause. Questions? Contact Lauren Langley at 336-318-6008 or [email protected]

The racing world stands still today as we mourn an irreplaceable loss. The last daughter of the legendary Secretariat has passed away at the age of 34, and with her departure, a precious living link to one of the greatest racehorses in history has been severed forever.

She carried more than her father’s bloodline — she carried history. Every stride she took, every day she lived, connected us directly to that unforgettable moment in 1973 when Secretariat stormed the Belmont Stakes and claimed the Triple Crown by an astonishing 31 lengths. To be the final bridge between that golden era and today is something almost unimaginable.

For 34 years, she stood as a living testament to greatness. A quiet reminder of Big Red’s unmatched power, heart, and legacy. Those who knew her understood they were in the presence of equine royalty — the last of her kind.

This loss runs deeper than words. This wasn’t just any horse. This was the closing chapter of a direct dynasty. No more daughters of Secretariat walk this earth, and for those who cherish racing history, that reality is profoundly moving.

Yet her legacy endures. Through bloodlines, through stories, through records that still inspire awe. What she represented — excellence, heritage, and the continuation of greatness — will never fade.
