One of our boys from the spring Olive egger project 🫒 I have enjoyed watching him grow, gain his spots, and curiously watch me as I tend to the others. He doesn’t qualify for any “parental responsibilities”, unfortunately…

I can’t use him - I can’t part with him. So, he has earned a lifetime right to free range our Sea Level property. There he will live life freely on his terms! But only if he stays such a sweet boy… his dad could be a real stinker. That temper won him a one way ticket out of the Grown In Faith family!!

What would you name this guy?!

Happy Sunday!!

Sedona is here to remind everyone that turkeys are never too big to snuggle. Even if you’re only three and a half foot tall! 🥰

One of my favorite things about social media are all of the memories that pop up.

2 years ago my sweet girl was just 3 years old… Sedona was always up at the crack of dawn and would be out the door as soon as her feet hit the floor! Still in a night gown, “bed-head” hair, barefoot, and care-free. Not much has changed there… none at all, actually. She might be just a tad taller and not quite as chunky in the cheeks. But 3 of the hens in this picture are no longer with us (a bob-cat ended our free-ranging days a while back). They were some of the best girls, how bittersweet ❤️🥲

Time sure is flying! I keep trying not to blink 🫶🏼

He’s working hard for those snacks! Nothing stops this boy when he spots a treat hidden deep in the bushes. That is pure dedication to the foraging life. Drop a 🍇 if your chickens love fresh fruit!

Cutest little fellerr 🐸 He was about the size of my thumbnail! Just hangin’ out on my wavy succulent enjoying this rain 🌧️

I had to include pictures of this plant’s beautiful HOT PINK blooms this week! Sooo vibrant and so satisfying! You wait so long for that plant’s bloom stem to appear, then watch it as it grows - getting longer and longer every day - until finally…

🌷✨ MAGIC! ✨ 🌸

Fruit scrap vinegar started last night! I used these overripe fruit from the garden and fridge. I saved the rest for the chickens, of course!🐓

🍊 Mandarin 🍊 🍉 Watermelon 🍉
🍓 Strawberry 🍓 🫐 Blueberry 🫐

Super Simple!
👉Add fruit to about 1/3 of your jar
👉Add plain ol’ granulated sugar - a few tbsp 🤷‍♀️
👉Fill with water, leave room at the top
👉Cover allowing gases to release. (I use a coffee filter and a rubber band)
👉Stir at least twice a day.
✅ It will ferment and create vinegar!

Im thinking about making a video with more details/instructions.. If you would be interested in that, comment and let me know!
