Whew we’ve been up to some stuff in our “slow” season!!

#1: we moved! We now live about an hour north of Houston!
#2: we have a new Nigeria herd sire we will be using primarily this year! WH Dairy JR Drops of Jupiter. This guy is so exciting to have! Blue eyed and polled babies ahead!
#3: arguably my most exciting announcements is we’ve AI’ed the Toggs to a very nice Togg Buck! If we land any pregnancies from it they will be formally announced! 🤞

Pregnancies will be announced hopefully in a month!
Here’s the flyer for “Jupiter”

✨Several really nice animals available. I’m taking a break from goats so everyone must go. MAKE ME A REASONABLE OFF-er!!

🌸1. Caprine Cottage Glitter Bomb Sired by CuAtLilRedBarn Sir Charms (his poster and other daugters show at the end). Incredibly sweet doe in milk. Great on the stand. She does however self nurse so MAKE me a reasonable OFF-ER
🌸2. The Caprine Cottage Merida (AKA Dixie). 2F this year, freshen triplets with no issues. MAKE OFF-ER
🌸3. Double Wing RR Wonka is the SWEETEST girl! She freshened with quads in January. Super easy kidder. In milk and has waddles too if that’s your thing. I love her and I’ll be picky where she goes 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
🌸🌸4. SWAK Adele (pending) and her littermate sister (SWAK ??) sired by Farm Oldesouth Gabriel. Should be a fantastic milking and show prospect 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣/ea
🌸5. Caprine Cottage Chocolope is a polled 2F who is available with her doe kid born 2/5. She’s also super sweet and gentle. Great mom 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
🌸🌸6-7. 2 chocolate bottle doe kids who would also make great show prospects 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣/ea
💕 8. Caprine Cottage SC Jasmine born 1/31/25
Very sweet Jr doe with show history. Leads well and is friendly. Great show prospect for someone wanting to get started. Heavily moon spotted! More pics available

I’ve taken some time to decide what my next steps are with the goats after having such a rough time with them the last year.
I’ve decided to keep my Nigerian herd extremely small at about 5-8 incuding bucks. I’ve also decided to keep my Toggs and keep that number at or under 5. I currently have 3 so I’m good there. Overall, I want to keep a total herd of under 15 including bucks and kids. That being said, I have several does and a buck still available I’d love to not send to auction. Please make me a reasonable offer! Not everyone must go with papers either If you just want a quality milker. Steep discounts for multiples! This would be a great starter herd!

1. Quaking Canopy Loch Ness (dam and sires dam have high LA scores!)
2. Caprine Cottage Chocolope (dam VEEE90)
3. SWAK G Adele (pending)
4. Caprine Cottage Glitterbomb
5. Double Wing RR Wonka
6. Caprine Cottage Merida
7. Not pictured is a littermate sister to Adele (SWAK G (pending)

Sealy Tx but can meet within reason!

This is why wethers make better pets! Every 18-21 days a doe will come into heat. Some are more obnoxious than others but boy can they be loud!
