🐾 Meet the Six Still Looking for Their Future Farms! 🐾

Now that Pawnee’s litter has reached the 6-week mark, it’s time to introduce the six puppies who are still looking for their future farms. ❤️

Each photo is marked with the puppy’s collar color along with a B for boy or G for girl, so if someone catches your eye, you’ll know exactly who to ask about!

These puppies are being raised right here on our farm, growing up around livestock, poultry, other dogs, cats, people and all the everyday sights and sounds of farm life. Their early experiences are an important part of giving them a good foundation as they grow into livestock guardian dogs.

6-Week Vet Day! 🐾🤍
What an adventure loading up all 11 Great Pyrenees puppies and heading to the vet today! Everyone received their 6-week wellness check and first vaccinations, and we’re happy to report that everyone is doing well!

These babies are growing fast and getting closer to the next stage of their farm adventures. Five already have future families waiting for them, which means 6 puppies are still looking for their future farms. 🐑🐐🐓

Our puppies are being raised here at Tranquil Acres Farm in Southern Ohio, with exposure to livestock, other dogs, poultry, people, and everyday farm life.

At just 4 weeks old, these little future livestock guardians are already learning. 🐾🤍

Safe exposure and socialization are such an important part of raising working Great Pyrenees puppies. They’re tucked securely behind the chain-link fence, but they can see, smell, hear, and observe the livestock moving around them.

Today this ewe came over to check them out and if you watch until the end, one of our does makes an appearance too. 😊

Our goal is to give these puppies plenty of positive, age-appropriate farm experiences so that their natural guardian instincts have the opportunity to develop and they’re prepared to become successful working partners on the farm someday.

This is what growing up at Tranquil Acres looks like. ❤️

Found Momma lounging, so I grabbed the three smallest pups for a little exclusive nursing time. 🥰🐾

At 4 weeks old, they’re eating puppy food now too, but that yummy Momma milk is still pretty important! ❤️

Sometimes the little ones just need a few minutes at the milk bar without 10 other siblings competing for a spot. 😂

There’s just something special about those first little conversations between a momma and her babies. 💕

Two brand-new ewe lambs, already finding their voices and Momma quietly talking right back to them. Make sure your sound is on for this one. ❤️

When Momma keeps trying to redecorate… we adapt. 😂🐾

Pawnee has continued trying to move her puppies to the cooler ground outside, so we made some changes to their shelter area.

We opened things up so the puppies can come down the ramp to her, added a large shaded area outside, and gave Pawnee the option to stretch out on the cool ground while still staying right with her babies.

Sometimes caring for animals means watching what they’re telling you and figuring out what works best for them. ❤️

Hopefully Momma approves of the renovations! 😂🐶🐾
