Life just got a whole lot cuter! Let me introduce you to the newest additions to the farmstead! We sadly had one loss, at two days. The girls had really bonded with Sprout and it was ROUGH! However, the other five are thriving and growing so fast.

Today was such a beautiful day! We have a cold snap coming through in the next few days, so we’re trying to soak in the 40 degree day as much as possible! think the ducks are ready for summer!
Nice day to prune the apple trees too!

I always struggle to garden plan in the winter, when my body would rather just relax by the fire. Scrolling through videos from last years garden always helps to build my motivation! Happy ducks and flower season will be here in a few months!

Finally made marshmallows! I’ve kept putting it off for a year and decided today was the day! I love how the hibiscus imparts a tartness and some vitamin C! The kids approve! Sticky fingers are had by all!

With the new cameras we now know for certain we have a rat issue. We’ve tried all kinds of traps and deterrents like chili powder.
Unfortunately, I think the only thing that will help is capping their food. We’ve avoided capping their food, as the ducks are very active at night, but I think it’s the only thing that might deter the rodents.
