The summer sun showed little mercy today…

On such a day, a wise traveler leaves the steaming bowl behind and seeks the cooling gifts of the sea.

At Antojitos La Reyna in Gearhart, the shrimp ceviche and aguachile offered welcome relief—bright citrus, gentle heat, and refreshing flavors that carried away the weight of the afternoon sun.

The steamed tacos of chorizo and potato, chicharrón, and beans with cheese served as a reminder that simple food, prepared with care, often leaves the deepest impression.

For a brief moment, the heat of the day was forgotten.
