Heartbroken to announce that Rae Vino will be permanently closing the doors to our bar/shop after May 31st. We'll likely endure as an online-only business and would love the opportunity to continue curating w**e club orders for our members (not too late to join!).
In full transparency, our commercial lease expires in June and we couldn't secure a long-term extension, a circumstance exacerbated by a lack of suitable alternative spaces in the neighborhood that could've otherwise warranted moving to a new location. Secondarily, we've personally been unable to devote the level of in-person time necessary for supporting our staff and further developing our offering for local patrons, both of which we'd seemingly remedied in the form of a new prospective owner that was unfortunately negated by the aforementioned impasse surrounding lease terms.
To the Green Lake community - we're sad to be sunsetting our time as one of your nearby social gathering and entertainment destinations. Your support since our opening in 2020 during the pandemic and of the inherent values in the natural w**e we carry has meant more than you'll ever know. While we remain hopeful that something similar or equally additive to our vibrant neighborhood will eventually sprout in our place, we'll continue doing our best to stock your fridges and fill your glasses through club shipments/local delivery in the meantime.
To our wholesale partners - thank you for your countless emails/texts/phone calls, 1:1 tastings, industry events, and endless forms of support throughout our partnership. With any luck, we'll find a means of continuing our work together, either through this next phase of our business or some other avenue in the future.
Last but not least, to our colleagues - it's been an honor working alongside you. We've shared a few laughs, some great w**e, and together endured the unique highs/lows known only to those in retail/food/beverage service, all of which has been a career-defining experience for me personally and hopefully an impactful part of your professional journeys as well.
