At last month’s Parkinson’s Policy Forum in Washington, DC, Suzanne Cameron was awarded a 2026 Udall Public Service Award. 🎉🎉🎉 Named for former Congressman Morris K. Udall, the award honors exceptional dedication to advocacy and public service and was awarded to five advocates from across the country. Suzanne is a passionate advocate and this award is a reflection of the outsized impact she has made in the Parkinson’s community.

French Dip Sliders- Shaved Beef Stacked on a Hawaiian Roll with Caramelized Onions, Melted Gruyere and Horseradish Aioli

FOOD DRIVE 11/20! Bring a bag, get a treat!

Cameron Catering will be hosting a food drive on November 20th, between 10am-4pm. During the drive we are collecting non-perishable food, new personal hygiene items and we will direct monetary donations to Ballard Food Bank and University District Food Bank.

During the drive we will have a drop-off tent set up out front of our shop and members of our team will be ready to say hello and collect your donation.

If you bring a bag of groceries or donate $50, we will give you your choice of a dozen Cameron Catering house-made cookies or two dozen house-made, take-and-bake empanadas as a special thank you.

Today we are proud to share more recent highlights from our owner Suzanne Cameron's work to support people impacted by Parkinson's Disease. Last month Suzanne and other members of the community impacted by Parkinson’s disease traveled to Washington D.C. to advocate for Parkinson’s research and care. This group, The 2025 Parkinson's Policy Forum, formed as a collaborative effort between The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, American Parkinson Disease Association and Parkinson's Foundation , included 250 voices from 45 states.

Cameron Catering was a proud Gold Level sponsor for the 2025 APDA Northwest Optimism Walk . Suzanne Cameron and Chris Jewell have been supporting and organizing this special annual event since it began decades ago (...check out Chris's shirt from 2000!)

We are very happy to report that 2025 was our top fundraising Optimism Walk team of all time, across any walk, anywhere in the country! We broke records, celebrated our Parkinson’s community, and raised critical funds to provide free programs, services, and support across the region. We surpassed our $200,000 goal, raising over $222,000 (and counting!) 😍 American Parkinson Disease Association - APDA Northwest Chapter awarded a record-breaking 37 Circle of Optimism medals to participants who each raised $1,000 or more. Thank you to our awesome community for making this event so special and so successful!
