Join us for a Pizza Bake this Wednesday from 3pm-7pm at the farm site on east campus. This Pizza Bake is being held as a thank you to our CSA shareholders this season! Community members purchase a share of our produce early in the season, providing critical funding for production, materials and supplies. We are so grateful we are making pizzas in the student-built oven in the World Cultural Kitchen courtesy of students in Neighborhood Design-Build Studio, University of Washington College of Built Environments Department of Architecture

This event is free and open to the public. Parking on the north side of the farm is free of charge. We ask that you bring a shelf stable item for the UW Food Pantry if you can. For more information email the farm team:

Peak summer is overflowing from these pints! You can find these beauties on the produce shelves at District Market Alder on Monday! These beautiful beans and cucumbers are just some of what campus dinning halls and grocery stores (uw_hfs ) ordered this week off our UW Farm Fresh Sheet. Orders from HFS help support the farm financially through earned revenue and they help HFS meet their sustainability goals of purchasing local produce. It’s a delicious win-win!

CSA Week 13! Summer continues to shine through our produce with this week’s box including another bounty of tomatoes and our first harvest of Italian basil! Caprese salad anyone? Additionally this week’s box includes one of our under-sung heros, purslane. Purslane grows around our farm sites as a w**d, but this plant is not only edible, it’s extremely nutritious! Check out this week’s newsletter for some recipe inspiration regarding purslane.

CSA Week 10! This week’s box features some really gorgeous ‘San Marzano’ paste tomatoes, a bounty of cucumbers, a nice little bundle of shallots and all the fixings needed for a summer salad. Additionally, our ‘Dragon Langerie’ broad beans are back in force for a second week in a row! This Dutch Heirloom variety is a bush bean which characteristically crop all at once leading to many hours harvesting and heavy bags for CSA members!
