Today, our CEO is meeting with members of Congress to fight for increased funding for the NIH ($51.3B) and CDC ($11.1B) and to push for more affordable, accessible healthcare.

But for us, this isn’t just policy—it’s personal.

He’s advocating in honor of his mother, Rachel, who passed 8 years ago, and his mother-in-law, Esther, who we lost just last month to lung cancer.

What we learned today could save lives: early detection through biometric screening matters.

But not everyone has access to that care. Medicaid didn’t provide the screenings they needed—especially as Black women.

That’s why we’re sharing this. That’s why this work matters.

If you’ve ever lost someone, or want to protect someone you love—this is your reminder to speak up, get screened, and stay informed.

Together, we can push for a system that works for everyone.

One of our business partners just hooked us up with this opportunity!!! Mama Row’s Caramel will be vending at Microsoft’s Headquarters tomorrow for the NBA 2K25 Xbox Tournament. Now, I gotta break the news to the kids that they have to come with me, play video games for 5 hours, eat food, & win prizes instead of going to school. 🥺 Thank you

Had a great getaway with my son and my adopted babies! They’re going to be big kids next year 😢. When we first moved to Seattle 3 years ago I asked the Head Teacher what they needed help with. She didn’t hesitate to say “A positive black male role model.” I’ve been fulfilling that void for 3 years and I’m going to continue until they graduate high school if it’s the Lord’s will.
