📝First up is the Jonti Siman Trio, featuring Jonti on upright and electric bass, Owen Thayer on guitar and William Sage on drums.
The trio plays everything from original compositions to instrumental arrangements of American roots and popular music. Performing regularly all over Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, the group is working on their debut album—to be released later this year—which will also include Ben Thomas on vibraphone.

📝Seattle singer-songwriter and guitarist Sheryl Wiser has a sound that refuses to stay in one lane. Americana, roots, folk, soul, blues, jazz, and rock all factor into her music, anchored by a voice that commands attention. Her signature red Parker Fly guitar is part of the visual signature, but it’s the storytelling that sticks.
Nominated for a 2026 Sonic Guild Seattle Artists Grant and finalizing work on her first album in 30 years with noted Seattle songwriter and composer Tomo Nakayama, Wiser is in one of the more productive stretches of a long career. The Seattle Times put it plainly: “She writes emotional, rhythmically stirring songs and delivers them with genuine passion.”
📝Bryan John Appleby has been writing, recording, and performing original music for almost two decades. Based in Seattle, his folk-centric body of work incorporates breezy mid-century pop, intricate fingerpicking, lush cinematic layers, and lyrics that often evoke his Central Coast origins.
His latest full-length, Underwater Easy Breathing, exemplifies his distinct production palette. Oceanic and synth-laced, the album is a natural next step in his wandering, often densely layered repertoire. Previous works include The Narrow Valley (2015), a maximalist concept album drenched in dreamy, orchestral elements and experimental sounds, and Fire on the Vine (2011), a darker collection with more conventional folk structures and organic instrumentation.
