Coming to us via !

The Croisille family has built their domaine from the ground up. Their wine journey began in 1979 when Bernard and Cécile moved to the Causses of Luzech, restored land, and planted their first Malbec vines. After facing early challenges, they harvested their first crop in 1984. In the 90s, they broke away from the co-op system, partnered with a local grower, and began making their own wine. Today, the family grows all of their own grapes. Sons Germain and Simon, along with Nicolas, a longtime family friend, are at the forefront of the region’s new wave of winemaking. Together, they manage the estate, spanning 30 hectares of diverse calcareous soils, with a focus on biodynamic farming, native yeasts, and minimal intervention.

It’s back! The 2023 Noble Dry Chenin is here. 🌟

Lemon curd, lilac, wet limestone, and rippin’ acid—a partially botrytized Chenin Blanc (noble meaning noble rot, and dry signifying less sweetness than fully botrytized wines). This wine is a benchmark for what the Willamette Valley could be outside of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. It gives you the acidity and freshness the region does so well, but with a less common varietal that fits the ethos of —pushing the boundaries of the Willamette Valley AVA.

Kicking off the new year with Vin Jaune Chardonnay 🌟

A nod to Jura’s Vin Jaune tradition, reimagined in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA. Fermented in untopped barrels, it develops a delicate flor—bringing a nutty, savory depth that’s perfectly counterbalanced by the wine’s fresh, racy acidity.

Sourced from the PM Staiger Vineyard at 1,600 feet, the cool coastal climate and steep, rocky soils of the Santa Cruz Mountains create ideal growing conditions for the grapes. The climate allows for slow ripening, preserving the wine’s freshness and precision. The grapes are pressed and aged for two years without interruption. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal SO2, it’s a nod to both the region’s unique terroir and Madson’s philosophy of minimal intervention winemaking.

Celler Pardas, a trailblazing winery in Catalunya, was established in 1996 by Ramón Parera and Jordi Arnan with the purchase of the Can Comas property in Penedés. Located in a medieval farmhouse amidst diverse landscapes, the winery specializes in organic viticulture and grape varieties indigenous to Catalunya, including Sumoll, Xarel.lo, and Malvasia di Sitges.

Among Pardas’ wines, Sumoll stands out. Once nearly forgotten and not officially recognized in the Penedés D.O. until 2009, the grape thrives under Pardas’s meticulous farming and winemaking practices. Sumoll is a tough grape, but Ramón of Pardas has suggested it may be one that many farmers look to as they continue to face the stresses of climate change. It requires challenging conditions to thrive, such as poorer soils and drought, which have become more common in Catalunya recently. Now, sumoll has become a respected variety, largely due to Pardas’s efforts in helping foster a renewed appreciation for the grape’s fresh acidity and unique character.

The 2023 Sumoll Rosé beautifully showcases Sumoll’s potential and their dedication to the revival of the indigenous grape. It is made from 100% hand picked Sumoll grapes which were minimally farmed in the loamy calcareous soils of Pardas’ Torró vineyard. The grapes were macerated with their skins for 24 hours, spontaneously fermented and aged for two months in stainless steel.

This wine is addictive. It is refreshingly tart and bursting with pomegranate, cranberry and cherries. Chill it down and enjoy.

You’ve met Orange Crush, you’ve met Rouge Crush, now meet Blanc Crush❕

One of our newest adds from , and so, so good!

A blend of Aligoté, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc: Juicy fruit, texturally interesting, long flavors, good acid (taught not tart), and a touch of sea salt.

Sourced from vineyards across the valley’s ten AVAs, including Yamhill-Carlton, Laurelwood District, and Eola-Amity Hills, this blend celebrates the valley’s potential in the “White Blend” category. The Chardonnay is aged in French oak barrels, while the Pinot blanc and Aligoté are fermented with indigenous yeasts from regenerative organic farms. Partial malolactic fermentation and a hint of residual sugar give this wine a fruity, acidic, and mineral-driven character.

Welcome to Washington !

Madson is the result of a passionate collaboration between winemaker Cole Thomas and viticulturist Ken Swells, both driven by a deep respect for nature and the vineyard. Nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Madson leases and farms select, small plots, working hand-in-hand with local growers to ensure everything is farmed organically. A lot of the top soil they work with is full of things like cedar shavings and pine, preserving the water content of the soil. Beyond organic practices, Cole and Ken are committed to sustainability, embracing regenerative agriculture to enhance biodiversity and improve the health of the land. Their journey toward carbon neutrality includes planting trees and reevaluating their environmental footprint annually.

Madson’s thoughtful approach to viticulture eliminates the need for excessive intervention in the winery, preserving the wines’ sense of place. Cole has a really good understanding of the quality of fruit he’s getting out of the region. He is super attuned with the vineyard and the cycles of the grapes, which is especially important because the Santa Cruz Mountains can be a challenging place to grow grapes (cold climate, coastal winds, fog, etc.)! At the heart of Madson’s winemaking philosophy is a focus on spontaneous fermentations and the use of neutral vessels, so the fruit stays front and center. These are elegant, cold-climate California wines. They are super expressive, acid-driven and a true to where they’re from.

Fall’s creeping in, and it’s giving Beaujolais. Can’t go wrong with this classic from 🐰

Laurent Gauthier and his son Elie operate their small family property in the heart of Morgon, practicing organic, sustainable agriculture. The 2022 ‘L’Êveque’ undergoes whole-cluster fermentation in concrete, and it has everything we want out of a Beaujolais: classic ripe red berry fruit, a touch of forest floor, and a bit of oil-cured olive. It’s pretty, and easy to drink.

A super delicious WA wine from a super secretive vineyard site 🤫

Our friends were able to procure the grapes for “Le Hush” under one condition: they wouldn’t let the vineyard site be known. And to this day, we still don’t know exactly where in the Royal Slope AVA the grapes come from.

However, as secret as this wine may be, it’s no secret that it’s true to Sarah and Tyler’s winemaking style: bright, fresh, and acid-driven. The weirdest but coolest blend for washington ever, 50% Syrah and 50% Pinot Noir, foot stomped, basket pressed, and fermented whole cluster with indigenous yeasts. Only 250 cases produced. It’s got ripe Pinot qualities on the nose, and then the Syrah comes through at the end like the Kool-Aid man busting through the wall. Good red fruit, violets, leather, and some charred meat.
