Hey fam! Some changes are happening at the shop! Since I can’t be in one place all the time, Vita Uva is moving towards being primarily a wine club for the Seattle metropolitan area (pick ups and delivery only) with monthly tastings. Hey fam! Long time no chat! Two new skin contact wines are in the shop. Tenuta dei Fossi our of Sicily is an estate run by two women and Sikelè is made from Gracnico grapes that have been skin macerated for 13 hours. Super fun wine. From the Aegean Islands, Terra Ambera is made from Muscat of Alexandria and is my current favorite with notes of fresh mochi, slightly oxidative, and has the perfect amount of acidity. Look at this stunning color! This comes from one of the oldest vineyards in Côte Roannaise, Domaine des Pothiers. The family uses biodynamics in their farming and hand harvests all 10 hectares of vines. The wine is aged in stainless and no sulphur has been added. High acid with summer fruits makes this the perfect warm weather

Two new fun wines from , a project that helps grape growers in move away from selling their goods to making their own wines. Each cuvée features a different grower and their grapes. First is Saveurs de Julien, a blend of Pinot Auxerrois & Sylvaner. Second is Le Brutal de Jean-Marc, a blend of Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris & Riesling and is skin macerated for 18 days and is aged on lees for 11 months

IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL OUT! And this stunning rosé from San Gimignano is perfect for this weather! Elisabetta and her late husband came to and reawakened abandoned vineyards and olive groves. To this day, the land continues to be treated with the greatest respect and it is alive in the wines. Also, Mom’s Day is coming up and what better way to celebrate mom than with a beautiful wine made by a badass ?!
