A family-owned, craft coffee roasting company in Ballard, Seattle, established in 2001. We believe coffee should be accessible.

It should not be expensive or difficult to brew. Our coffee is designed to fit into the ritual of the individual and our team is designed to support and educate any willing members of the coffee community. True North roasted its first official batch in February of 2002, and has been roasting ever since. The owners, John and Maine Hofius, began their careers as software analysts, but the couple eve

ntually decided to trade code for coffee, and became the two halves of an innovative and dedicated team.
