This is important! Please read and act!
VIMEA ally Danielle Rosellison of The Cannabis Alliance has put out a call for all patients and those that love them! There is a bill in front of the Washington legislature now that would exempt authorized medical patients from paying the huge excise tax in the state. This would be experienced as a 37% discount at the cash register! That is a big deal for patients. So, if you would like to see this happen, I encourage you to read Danielle's call to action below and do so! Thanks!

Hi folks. *If you want to pass the bill which will eliminate excise tax
bill for patients (SB 5234) here is what we need you to do NOW.*
The #1 job is to get the bill on the radar of the members of the Ways and
Means committee, most importantly on the radars of the leadership of the
Ways and Means committee.
1. Email these people: [email protected];

2. The subject line needs to be: *“Please schedule a hearing for SB 5234
in the Ways and Means Committee”*
3. Send an email asking for the bill to be heard. *Two sentences, not
a long paragraph –two sentences.*
1. Example: *Please give SB5234 a hearing, eliminating the excise
tax for patients so that they can afford their medicine. *Illness
ravages families, from veterans to children to seniors. With the passing of
SB 5052, the legislature established "qualifying conditions”. It is
unethical and inappropriate to meet economic benchmarks at the expense of
ill and dying patients.
2. If you are a residential or business constituent for any of the
members, please let them know.
I know it is a pain, but if you send these emails individually, your email
is less likely to be filtered out as spam. Also, if you email the
assistants as well, your email has an infinitely better chance of getting
through the noise and being read.
