The Washington Beer Awards is a craft beer competition designed specifically to support Washington’s professional brewers. This Washington-only competition is intended to provide an opportunity for all of Washington’s craft brewers to compete in a blind judging format. It will allow recognition of brewing excellence in Washington and provide constructive feedback supporting future competition entr

y decisions. By providing an unbiased and affordable competition for Washington brewers, we can allow all brewers to compete and raise awareness of Washington craft beer both within the state and on the national level. This competition will provide a venue for Washington brewers to compete locally and receive high caliber of judging. It will be open strictly to Washington brewers and leverage trained judges with a focus on providing feedback tailored for the commercial community. Judging will be conducted using the nationally recognized Brewers Association style guidelines. The competition will be held in May 2013 with medals will be provided to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners and special awards will be provided to breweries with many winning beers. Winners will be announced and medals will be awarded at a ceremony at the Washington Brewers Festival in June.

Last night we announced the winners of the 2025 Washington Beer Awards. We cannot explain the joy and jubilation of the room as we celebrated Washington's amazing craft beer culture as well as the contributions of the Washington Brewers Guild Hall of Fame inductees. We're just a few days away from announcing this year's Washington Beer Awards winners at the Washington Craft Beer Summit on November 3rd. The ceremony is already sold out but we're going to try a very rudimentary "going live" from our page to include a few more people who can't make it. We'll probably start at around 7 PM and we'll wing it as best as possible (since we will be on the stage doing announcements)! Hopefully it'll work out! But so excited to make these announcements and recognize our great brewers!

Congratulations to all of the 2025 Washington Beer Awards Fresh Hop winners! You can find all of the results at https://www.wabeerawards.com/2025freshhopwinners. It was an amazing harvest and an amazing set of great beers to be judged. Our judges left happy and proud of the great beers they were served. We can't say enough of our thriving fresh hop beer culture and can't wait to see what next year brings!
