Old Style Shoe Shine-Repair Co. is opening up an 8–12 week internship right here at our shop in downtown Seattle!

If you are a detail-oriented maker, student, or enthusiast eager to master the fundamentals of professional leather care, workshop operations, and premium finishing techniques (working with top-tier lines like Saphir and Boot Black), we want to hear from you.

Our intern works directly alongside our Master Cobbler and our four part-time apprentices in an active, fast-paced downtown workshop.

This part-time role focuses heavily on bench prep, material sorting, and front-of-house operations—making it the ultimate launching pad for traditional craft trades.
Open to coordinating for school or vocational credit! 🎓

Cobbler Diego pulled a 10 + hour shift to make sure he gets everything done.

Old Style Shoe Shine-Repair Co is closed on Sunday and Monday so we can get some much needed work done.

Why am I being blocked on Instagram by SSIA?

Tsuki and Diego, my apprentices, work on their skills on the finisher.

Tsuki's new to the finisher, and Diego's been working on it for about 2 years, on and off, and getting better every time.

Diego is cutting a top lift for a Louboutin boot and showing Bobby from Broadway Shoe Repair his advanced skills, which he has honed since Bobby left Old Style Shoe Shine-Repair Co. to work exclusively for Broadway Shoe Repair.

Bobby was our cobbler in 2023 - 2024, trying to teach us the skills of being a cobbler.

And the last part is Dan, who is a retired cobbler from Swanson's Shoe Repair, who came up to my shop to show us how to use the K12 Bobby traded me for my brand-new side Stitcher.

Dan had a rough go at it, had to redo a few things, and told me I was missing a few parts as well. But he was able to get it to work for a little while.
