The Hallberg Huddle

Before the first clusters are picked, Vineyard Manager Riggs Lokka gathers the team to walk through the night’s plan. Every route, every trailer, every bin has a purpose. The first tractor is ready, while stacks of harvest bins wait to be filled.

Tonight’s goal: 11 tons of fruit from Hallberg Ranch.

Night harvesting keeps both our team and the fruit cool, preserving the freshness and vibrant character that define our estate-grown, dry-farmed Pinot Noir. As the sun sets, the work begins—and another vintage is officially underway.

Follow along as we document one of the earliest harvests on record. Welcome to Harvest 2026.

Pink, bright, and made for patio season. ☀️

Our 2025 Ruby Ruby is crafted using the saignée method from dry-farmed Pinot Noir grapes grown at Hallberg Ranch. After just 24 hours of skin contact, we gently drain a portion of the juice and ferment it separately—creating a vibrant pink-coral wine bursting with fresh strawberry, juicy watermelon, subtle herbs, and a hint of orange bitters.

Brimming with energy and joy, Ruby Ruby is best enjoyed well chilled—with your favorite people and during these final days of summer. 🍓🍉

The Hands Behind the Harvest

Before harvest, there is careful work in the vineyard.

Each cluster is examined. Each vine is thoughtfully tended.

Through experience, patience, and a deep connection to the land, our vineyard team helps shape the character of every vintage.

These hands carry decades of experience and an intimate knowledge of our vineyards. Their work is rarely seen, but it is present in every bottle.

Because great wine begins in the vineyard—and with the hands that care for it.

Thinning.
One of our farming practices is performed entirely by hand by our dedicated team. Their work is integral to growing great Pinot Noir, and the results can be tasted in every sip of Emeritus wine.

Our Philosophy

At Emeritus Vineyards, we embrace a simple yet timeless philosophy: that great wines are shaped by three fundamental factors: soil, climate, and people.

New Release!
2022 Pinot Hill East & West

Pinot Hill East and West tell two distinct stories from the same celebrated vineyard. East captures the cool, fog-covered side of the hill with freshness and savory precision. West reflects the warmth of the afternoon sun, offering rich fruit and a more generous profile. Together, they reveal how wines grown just feet apart can be beautifully distinct, each expressing its own unique terroir.
