Freeman Winery Since their very first vintage in 2001, Ken and Akiko Freeman have followed their bliss.

Taking inspiration from nature and learning from the experience of her mentors, winemaker Akiko crafts balanced and refined Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Ken and Akiko Freeman Founded Freeman Winery on the West Sonoma Coast in 2001. They craft small lots of acclaimed Russian River and Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Freeman's elegant wines reflect a sense of their unique place of origin.

Named in honor of Akiko Freeman, this wine is a reflection of her journey, her dedication to Pinot Noir, and the friendships that have shaped Freeman Winery along the way. Elegant, expressive, and crafted with intention, it’s a wine that brings people together around the table.

That same spirit lives within Friends of Freeman. More than a membership, it’s a community of wine lovers who share a passion for handcrafted wines, meaningful connections, and giving back. Through Friends of Freeman, 5% of every membership is donated to local charitable organizations, helping support the communities we call home.

One part of being a small family winery is being able to hit the road and meet new people while sharing those wines across the country and the world! Thank you to as we crossed the 2 million miles mark! We have enjoyed all our travels to meet you in your home towns and we can’t wait till our next trip.
