Feeling the “Aloha”! This Doe makes us want to Dance!

Redwood Hills Event Hula is shown here at the 2026 Sonoma County Fair where she was 3rd w/ 3rd udder three year old in a very competitive class. Hula was also a member of our 1st place Best 3 Females as well as 1st place Dairy Herd for the Nubian breed.

Hula truly excels in the structure and shape of her mammary system. It’s wide with pleasing globular shape that has ideal teat size, shape, and placement. Also a beautifully extended and smooth fore udder. Check out the rear in the comments.

Hula is a “local” girl that hadn’t made it out to shows, but made a grand debut at REDGA winning GCH and RGCH honors. Almond Hull treats helped her learn how to “dance” in the ring!

Hula appraised EX VVEE 90 this year and is overall structurally correct that will lend to more years of production and “ Aloha”!

Blessing is stylish and very dairy with a long bone pattern and extreme openness of rib. Her mammary system is wide with tremendous attachment. Rear udders in the comments.

Got Mammary Systems?

This trio sure does! Pictured is the 1st place Best 3 females for the Nubian breed at the 2026 Sonoma County Fair in a very competitive show. Really proud of the trajectory of our Nubian herd currently and their will to milk . These girls didn’t miss a beat as they had Linear Appraisal a couple days after the Fair.

Celebrating the 60’s !!!

64 goats loaded in today at the Sonoma County Fair celebrating 60 consecutive years of Redwood Hill Farm exhibiting at our local and prestigious Fair!

Also pictured is Jennifer showing one of her lNubians in 1968.

Fog is rolling in, so temps will be hitting the 60’s soon as well!!

Got Milk?

Siciliana sure does , being tied(with VV Vanessa Carlyle) for top production on our July test with 19.7 lbs. After saanens have dominated the first half of the year for top doe on milk test, Siciliana said -wait, this is Redwood Hills, Alpines need to represent!

Siciliana certainly represents production and overall great type. Another Nadal daughter with style and a lot of strengths in general appearance.

After a break since May from the show ring , Siciliana and 60 of her herd mates are ready to make their way to the prestigious Sonoma County Fair this week!

Dog Days of Summer

Hot Days turn the pastures to brown
Water Tanks of Rainwater fill the troughs
Sunscreen is in the air, not for laying on a beach , but for soon laying 50 goats onto our Fairgrounds .
Milk is Bountiful, Kids are weaned, and tails will soon flag.

Ace in the Hole!

GCH (pending )Redwood Hills ACE Tourmaline is shown here at this years REDGA show where she was shown 3x and went 2x1st, 1x2nd, 1 x GCH, 1 x RGCH, 1 x BOB(over 2 beautiful permanent champions). This finished Tourmaline and we are very proud of her.

Tourmaline is an example of vision and collaboration. Thanks to AI(artificial insemination, have to be careful with this term nowadays), we were able to bring back the great SG++*B Kastdemur’s At Your Service(Ace)to create something very special.

Tourmaline is lovely in general appearance being so level and upstanding into the front end. She has tremendous angularity and overall dairy form. Tourmaline’s udder is securely attached and beautiful at every angle. Rear udder in the comments. She also is great in the milking parlor with her July milk test at 12.3lbs. We look forward to the possibility of getting her to Salem next year!

Counting Our Blessings!

GCH Redwood Hills Nadal Blessing 14*M is shown here this week as a 4 year old, 3rd freshener. Blessing excels in dairy strength with very open ribbing and correct angle of rib to flank. She is extremely strong and level over the topline and has an excellent mammary system. Check out the rear udder in the comments.

She milked her body off on the way to the National show last year, “Bless” her heart! We look forward to showing her at the Sonoma County Fair this year.

So Fine! It’s Tourmaline!

Krista brought a couple of our Does up to the NVDGA show in Anderson to start off our show season yesterday. Redwood Hills ACE Tourmaline was the highlight going 2x GCH , 1 x RGCH, and 1x Best Doe in Show under judge Scott Horner!

Tourmaline is a 3 Yr old , second freshener that is smoothly blended and strong in all areas of the scorecard. She is an extremely deep bodied young doe with a lovely topline. Her mammary system is well attached with excellent texture and teats that point straight down.

Next up is REDGA, and we are excited to get more Does into the show ring!
