Nubian Pride!

Redwood Hill had one of the best Nubian showings in our history at the REDGA show, winning GCH , RGCH in all 4 rings and BOB in 3 rings!

GCH(pending) Redwood Hills Sparkle Plenty started off the party on Saturday going GCH/BOB in both rings to finish her championship and then Best in Show in one ring!

Sparkle has ”Plenty” of area of udder attachment and ideal teat placement. She is a powerhouse with a lot of strength in general appearance, especially in legs and front end assembly.

Sparkle kidded early this year, so we were sad to not be able to fill kid orders. But genuinely proud of her and her will to milk and coming into great milk considering the tough start. She also “Sparkles” in dairy temperament and ease in the milking parlor.

So Fine! It’s Tourmaline!

Krista brought a couple of our Does up to the NVDGA show in Anderson to start off our show season yesterday. Redwood Hills ACE Tourmaline was the highlight going 2x GCH , 1 x RGCH, and 1x Best Doe in Show under judge Scott Horner!

Tourmaline is a 3 Yr old , second freshener that is smoothly blended and strong in all areas of the scorecard. She is an extremely deep bodied young doe with a lovely topline. Her mammary system is well attached with excellent texture and teats that point straight down.

Next up is REDGA, and we are excited to get more Does into the show ring!

Happy Almost Mother’s Day!

It is a Happy Day here at Redwood Hill Farm as Kidding season has concluded! Kidding season is our busiest time , exhausting, and it’s a nice to end another chapter with a lot of beautiful kids and fresh milkers producing a lot of milk.

The last of the seasons new Mothers- Kashiko kidded with a couple handsome bucks sired by Autumn Acres Justice.

What a great weekend of Farm Tours! It was perfect weather for goat kid cuddling and we ended the weekend with the “GOAT” cupcakes. Another Sold Out weekend with great visitors, many returnees.

Next weekend we will be open for the Sonoma County Farm Trails Tour- Saturday Only!! So if you weren’t able to reserve a spot on a tour before we sold out, this is your chance to come out and meet the goats!

Our first ever Blossoms and Babies Bouquet making tour was a great success. Beautiful bouquets were made and baby goats were loved and cuddled. Thanks to everyone who came out!
