Visitors are welcome to come to learn about these inquisitive, charming, and gentle animals and hand-feed them. Come out to Buttermilk Forty Alpacas and enjoy a unique ranch experience with our herd of Suri alpacas, renowned for their soft, silky fiber. During your visit, you’ll learn about alpaca care, have the opportunity to hand‑feed some of these gentle animals, and explore our farm store. The store features a variety of high‑quality alpaca products, including socks, blankets, toys, and more. It’s a fun, educational experience for all ages and a wonderful way to connect with these beautiful animals.

And here's the puppy crew. We're keeping one of the females and will not know which for a while until they get a little older. My suggestion would be to have a first pick and a backup.

These pups come from solid, well mannered, working parents, Josey and Dwight. The parents also enjoy our farm guests and are great around children. Both are Great Pyrenees, Akbash, and Anatolian Shepherd mixes. We estimate that the pups are 50% Pyrenees and 25% each of Akbash and Anatolian Shepherd. The last picture shows Josey in the left and Dwight on the right.

They will be well suited for light livestock as they'll be raised around our alpacas day and night. Thank you for your interest and we'd love for you to consider them to work on your farm.

First run of rugs are finished and are off of the loom! Rugs were made with core spun yarn from our herd of Suri alpacas. The yarn was made at Good Shepherd Mill near Harrisonville, Mo. All are 2’ wide by 3’ long.

A HUGE thank you goes out to Jeff Reynolds who helped me get the warp measured out and onto the loom.

We are pleased with how they turned out and all are available to purchase ☺️.
