Climate-controlled spaces allow people to farm in places where it's historically been difficult or impossible. Abbreviated growing seasons, weather extremes, pests and stripped soil (among other factors) can be sizable barriers to food access, and our aim is to smash those barriers by empowering people to grow their own food in their own community. Check out Fresh365, our customer in Soldotna, Alaska! They have been operating both a Gourmet Mushroom Farm and Vertical Hydroponic Farm for more than 3 years. It's difficult to source fresh food in those parts, so they brought container farms to their area to bolster access. As you can see, they connected to an existing solar grid to power their farms.

Harvest time in a Vertical Hydroponic Farm. Most lettuce varieties take about 55 days before they're ready. Their first two weeks are spent in the seedling table (included with every farm we build), allowing the root system to develop before the plants are transferred to the vertical grow walls.
