**ADOPTED**

Meet Joey, the dog who decided Highway 98 was his personal stage for Fast & Furious: Furry Edition. This boy was running like a runner, like a track star — and if you’ve ever driven that road, you know it’s basically chaos with a speed limit.

Thankfully, his high‑speed adventure ended safely when a caring citizen scooped him up before he could attempt any more dramatic stunts. Now this two‑year‑old Border Collie/Aussie mix — a true rebel without a cause — is settling into foster care and dreaming of the good life.

If you’d like to meet this sweet, handsome wanderer, text his foster mom, Susie at 630‑607‑9012 to set up a meet and greet.

Joey’s ready for a forever home where the only running he does is straight into your arms.

“You ain’t no spring chicken.” No, I am not. I am a spring *quail*, newly arrived, ready to peep ❤️. Happy Spring, everyone!

That expression, though. “You *will* be sorry.” If Liam Neeson were a dog, he’d be an Aussie 😎.

🎖️ The Ranger Who Saved A Life Yesterday (And Nobody Even Knew) 💚

Want to hear about a real hero?

Last week in Rocky Mountain National Park...

A ranger noticed something most people would've missed.

A hiker sitting on a rock near Bear Lake.

Looking at the view.

Seemingly fine.

But the ranger saw something different.

The hiker's lips were slightly blue.

Their breathing was off.

And they'd been sitting in the same spot for 20 minutes.

Most people would've walked right past.

But this ranger stopped.

Started chatting casually about the weather.

Asked how the hike was going.

And within two minutes... realized this person was showing early signs of altitude sickness.

Confusion. Fatigue. Shortness of breath.

They were about 30 minutes away from a SERIOUS medical emergency.

The ranger calmly called for backup.

Got the hiker oxygen.

Walked them down to lower elevation.

And probably saved their life.

No sirens. No drama. No news cameras.

Just a ranger doing their job.

And here's the thing...

This happens ALL the time.

Rangers rescue lost hikers in the dark.

They talk people down from dangerous climbs.

They perform CPR. Deliver babies. Fight wildfires.

They work holidays while their families celebrate without them.

They deal with angry tourists who think rules don't apply to them.

And they do it all... for way less money than they deserve.

Most of the time... nobody even says thank you.

We just expect them to be there.

To keep us safe. To protect the park. To clean up our messes.

But they're not superheroes.

They're real people who chose a hard job... because they love these places.

So next time you see a ranger...

Say thank you.

Follow the rules so their job is easier.

And remember... they're not there to ruin your fun.

They're there to make sure you go home safely.

To your family. Your friends. Your life.
