Farm Update: As you can see in the photos below, the rains continue to help grow out the blueberry clusters, with lots of big berries beginning to ripen and get their color.

The rains have been good, but they have been frequent and could interfere with your picking schedule. Make sure you check your email or our website before you head out in case there is a rain delay or cancellation.

The 2025 Picking Registration & Order Season is Open!

We know we’ve been pretty quiet this year so far but we’ve been busy and the berries are green already! We’re excited to announce that orders can be placed starting today, and we should be able to begin filling them in 4-6 weeks. Remember, order early, because we sell out quickly.

If you’re planning to come out to pick-your-own, which we hope you do, the calendar for selecting your picking reservation is also up and operational. This spring has been excellent for growing, and the berries haven’t let us down. With all the early rain we’ve been getting, all signs are pointing to a good harvest of large, sweet berries, and we’re expecting the berries to be ripe for picking beginning around mid-June. We know many of you love blackberries and Elderslie Farm just north of Wichita in Kechi still has some available to pick, so we’re sharing their post with you in case you want to sign up.

The 2024 berry season at CHF has come to an end.

One of the reasons we post so little here is that as soon as you all know the berries are available, you start placing orders and scheduling reservations with such enthusiasm and consistency that if we posted more here, we might get more orders and reservations than we could fulfill!

We’re so proud and grateful to have such “berry good friends.” Thank you for joining us year after year…and this was such a good one! We’ll see you again in 2025!

ATTN: You can sign up to pick berries on our website again! We have the best news to share. Our online picking reservation system got fixed and we're good to go for the rest of the season!

THANK YOU to all that were out this past weekend, and to those who've patiently and flexibly adapted around our technology difficulties. It was a little chaotic trying to keep track of inquiries from so many different avenues, as you can imagine when we literally drive to the top of a hill for best cell signal at the farm sometimes. ;)

It was so much fun to see old friends. So many said the picking is so easy, as there are big clusters of ripe berries. Picking looks great for this coming weekend too, and there are still plenty of slots to fill if you want to come out. The picture is an example from this past weekend of just how big our berries are! Spread the word!

We've finally had enough rain after three years of drought to have a solid blueberry crop this year, and we can't wait to share it with you!

Unfortunately, our online registration system wasn't quite so cooperative as the weather, so that will go live next week after we get the dust blown off (we'll post again then), but in the meantime, you CAN place online *orders* or email us for a picking registration for THIS weekend, Thu-Sat. Details in the email newsletter we just sent out below. We expect the season to last about a month.
