We landed in a sticky situation. These girls made themselves at home between the pillars. We captured mama and now they're parading into their new pad. It’s hot out here!!!

🐝🏀 The hive is buzzing today! The Spurs swarmed OKC 111-103 and our bees couldn't bee happier! 🍯🎉

Last night our girls went for a wild ride. The tornado that hit our area was right down the street. Thankfully just a few down trees on our property. The girls are back to making honey today.

The girls have been BUSY this year, and it’s looking like we’re going to have a great honey season at Texas Bee Haus. Because of that, we’ve been working on some new label designs for our honey bottles and wanted to get your opinions before we finalize them.

Today we had the honor of visiting Marion Elementary and talking with 125 awesome 4th graders about the importance of honey bees and pollinators. 🐝

One of the highlights was bringing our live observation hive into the classroom so the students could safely see the bees up close and learn how a hive works. Thanks to the amazing observation hive provided by Save the Bees USA, the kids were able to truly “meet the bees” in a way they won’t forget.

The students asked some fantastic questions and were excited to learn how bees help provide many of the foods we eat every day. We love opportunities like this to help educate the next generation about the importance of protecting pollinators.

A huge thank you to Marion ISD for having us out today and to Save The Bees USA for helping make these educational experiences possible! 🍯🐝

Last night I had the honor of giving a presentation to the Beekeepers of West Texas & Southern New Mexico Sponsored by PDNBeekeepers on the pros and cons of insulated vs. non-insulated hives. They were a great group with a lot of thoughtful questions and discussion. They even laughed at the bee jokes!

One of my favorite parts of beekeeping is being able to share experiences and learn from other beekeepers. No matter how long we’ve been doing this, there’s always something new to learn from each other that helps us become better beekeepers for our bees.

As a small beekeeper, I love seeing the industry work together on this. There’s a big difference between local U.S. honey and imported blends, and giving consumers more transparency is a win for everyone.

Curious to hear what other beekeepers think about a “100% U.S.–Produced Honey” verification mark. 🐝
