For those who are new here, I figured it was time to properly introduce myself.
Warning: long post ahead! We want you to know who we are, how we operate, and what goes into transporting your horse with us.
My name is Josh , owner and operator of Good Neighbor Ranch & Neighbor to Neighbor Transportation.
Horses have always been a big part of my life, and I bring that same patience, consistency, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right every haul.
Whether I’m hauling your show horse, breeding stock, a family horse, or a horse beginning a new chapter, I understand that I’m being trusted with something incredibly important. As an owner-operator, I’m behind the wheel, planning the route, maintaining the trailer, loading the horses, checking on them throughout the trip, and keeping owners updated.
About Our Trailer:
We operate a six-horse trailer designed for long-distance hauling, featuring:
• Mid-tack area for keeping equipment organized without taking away from the horses’ space.
• Dedicated stud stall
• Air-ride system for a smoother ride
• Flexible layout to accommodate individual horse needs
Planning Your Horse’s Trip:
Every trip is planned with your horses’ safety, comfort, and individual needs in mind. We regularly travel between Texas and the Northeast, including but not limited to New York and New England, while carefully planning routes, stops, and travel times along the way.
For longer trips, we use clean, reputable facilities we know and trust for overnight stops. We do not use fairgrounds for overnight layovers. Facilities are properly cleaned and disinfected between guests every time. Horses are unloaded overnight and given a safe, clean place to rest before continuing the journey.
We stop approximately every 3–4 hours for a 20–30 minute break to check each horse, refill hay and water, and make sure everyone is comfortable.
Communication With Owners:
We know how difficult it can be to hand your horse over for a long-distance trip, so communication is a priority.
Owners receive regular updates, photos, and videos throughout their journey. For iPhone users, we can also share our location through Apple Find My, allowing you to follow along while your horse is in our care.
Our Goal:
Our goal is simple. Transport your horse as safely and comfortably as possible so they arrive happy, healthy, and in the same condition, if not better, than when they stepped onto our trailer.
Grass hay, alfalfa, and water are provided throughout the trip. We monitor each horse, refill hay and water as needed, and cater to individual feeding needs whenever possible. Every horse is different, and we’re happy to discuss feeding preferences, special considerations, and any concerns before your horse leaves home.
Whether your horse is headed to a new barn, show, breeding farm, new home, or another chapter, we want you to feel confident they’re in good hands every mile of the way.
I’m thankful for every owner, trainer, breeder, and barn that has trusted me with their horses. If we’ve hauled for you before, thank you for your continued support.
If you’re new here, welcome. Feel free to follow along, reach out with questions, or contact us when you’re looking for transportation. I’m always happy to talk through a route and see how we can help get your horse where they need to go.
