We specialize in breeding quality race bred Quarter Horses but also always have gentle show and trail riding horses available. Mesquite Pass Farms is located just 8 miles South East of Seguin, Texas. The 80 acre facility includes a 16 stall horse barn, 5/8 mile race track, walker, round pen and multiple two acre or larger turn outs. Jackson Davis 747 Wins Colors of the Alamo Paint & Appaloosa Futurity. Jackson Davis 747, under jockey Ruben Delarosa, Jr., defeated VP Dash for Texas by one-half length Saturday night in the $61,590 Colors of the Alamo Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Retama Park. The purse was the largest in the history of the Stakes event and a 9% increase over the 2024 Futurity. The son of multiple stakes sire Chilitos completed the 350 yards in 18.061 seconds, earning an 88-speed index. It was the third win in six starts, and the $23,404 winners' purse boosted his bankroll to $40,363. Manuel Roman trains the gray c**t for owner Val and Tonya Gonzalez. Courtney Watson bred Jackson Davis 747 in Texas from the Louisiana Cartel mare Shes A Cartel Girl. Runner-up VP Dash For Texas races for owner Victor Villarreal, MD, and trainer Alex Villarreal. Alejandro Ochoa rode the bay gelding bred in Texas by Victor Villarreal, MD. The son of PYC Prize Time and GW Money Dash by Dr Beduino earned $10,470 for the effort. I Do Not Recall, under jockey Froylan Ramirez, finished a neck back to pick up $6,775 for third. Brittany Tellez trains the son of Chilitos for owner Damika Burton. Douglas McMullen bred the gelding from the Spit Curl Jess mare Fly Lil Curl. Go Zippalitas, Mrs PYC Painted Nova, Sinnin Hot Pepper, Miss Nely, and Chill Chill completed the field. Chieftainess and CRB Wagon Shaker were scratched.
