📚 It’s that time of year again. Kids are back in school, participating in sports—which also means germ swapping.

🐝 Always raw, never heated, nothing added. Pure, straight from the source, just poured through cheesecloth for cleaning out unwanted environmental bits.

⭐️ Bees located in Texas, and honey separated by county based on the location of the bees so you always know for allergy purposes where the honey originated.

🏆🐝Sponsor Spotlight: Holdman Honey in Seguin, Texas. Holdman Honey is owned by David and Susan Holdman, along with our four kids: Roby, Reagan, Ruston, and Raleigh. David works with the bees, does bottling, and distribution. Susan manages the finances and marketing. The kids are great at working the honey extractor, putting the labels on jars, and of course, eating honey.
They have over 4,000 beehives and counting. Many of the colonies have local origins, but some of our queens come from as far away as Hawai’i! In Spring, the bees collect nectar from the bluebonnets and other Texas wildflowers. During the rest of the Summer, they gather from flowering plants such as cactus, mesquite, and sunflowers.
Why raw honey? Since honey never spoils in its natural state, why would anyone pasteurize it?
Conventional honey is overheated in the pasteurization process so it can be filtered, which causes a two-fold problem. First, overheating kills the natural enzymes and flavors, and neutralizes any anti-oxidant benefits. Second, filtering removes pollen and other beneficial things that help make raw honey a super food.
