When the soon to be 7 year old (who is very into cats & axolotls) says he wants cut-outs for his birthday, the Bake Shoppe understands the assignment!

How adorable are these cookies? Which makes you smile more, looking at them or tasting them? That buttercream is beautiful, rich, and sugary. They are sure to delight little hands and illicit big, icing-covered smiles. After all, it is the eyes that consume food first.

What's going on today at Heimbach's? It's Miller & Knead sourdough day, plus an updated list of deli specials AND new w**e shop slushies.

Bruma's Maple roast by Toasty Roasters has hit the shelves at Heimbach's.

Wednesday is a good day to stop in to enjoy a wide variety of bakery items. It's also our slowest day of the week; a day to feel less rushed during your shopping.

It truly is a pleasure to partner with a fine local coffee roaster & the lovely candle crafters at Airy Acres in Mifflinburg.

October brings changing leaves, sweater weather, pumpkins, and the new bake shoppe menu!

Time to cuddle up and cozy down. Is there a better time to enjoy Pennsylvania style pot pie, steaming bowls of soup, and home style baked goods?

Oh do we ever have some exciting news!

Today we had our first delivery from Miller & Knead. Miller & Knead bakes the most delicious, authentic artisan style sourdough. Their original sourdough is made with just 3 ingredients. This cottage style home bakery is both local and woman owned.

Delightfully tangy, with a softer crust and beautiful crumb, this sourdough might just knock your socks off. Stay tuned for more details... but right now it's here and still warm!

Pumpkin fever: the unique phenomenon that grips Americans (namely women) as soon as the first crunchy leaf falls.

It's still 80 plus degrees in the afternoon, but everyone is raiding the basement for autumn decorations, searching for pumpkin whoopie pies, and dusting off their boots & cardigans.

If that's you, come on over! There's nothing wrong with loving pumpkin desserts, knit sweaters, and cooler weather. 🍁
